The NPS Amateur Radio Club Volunteer Exam Team provides examination sessions for Amateur Radio license exams four times per year.  The exam schedule for this year is shown below.

 Location
3/21/2010     Radiofest - General Stillwell Center, Seaside, CA

We provide exams for all three classes of the FCC Amateur Radio License.  Exams are normally held on Saturday mornings and require about two hours to complete the exam and required paperwork.  This process can take longer depending on the number of applicants we have at an exam session.

SSAN Requirement
The Federal Government requires that you provide your Social Security Account Number or Taxpayer ID Number to any agency from which you receive a benefit, like an Amateur Radio License.  This law was passed to help in tracking down tax scofflaws and “deadbeat” parents.  Part of the paperwork you will fill out upon passing your exam is the FCC Form 605VEC.  This form is where you provide your SSAN, TIN or FCC Registration Number (FRN).  Once you are issued a license, you will use the FRN to do business with the FCC.  We will protect your SSAN as though it were our own.
If you do not wish to provide your SSAN or TIN on the Form 605, you must register for an FRN before the exam session.  Use this link and click on the Register button to obtain an FRN.
